Essentially, when you get a like, the messages page shows the most recent person who liked you’s name.

If you swipe up and close the app, then re-open it, that person that liked you is normally the second profile shown. This isn’t 100% fool-proof but it’s just a pattern I’ve recently noticed that’s allowed me to kind of guarantee a match if I found the chick attractive.
