Paid options are useless because they have more fakes that you can ever imagine! They set up these fake accounts and send you introduction letters. No to toot my own horn, but I do get likes, letters and dates on sites like Seek4Her.com - I mean reputable legit sites. But WeLovedates gave me nothing but a bunch of auto-generated, two-line crap messages from easily recognizable fake accounts. To top it off, their cancellation policy is a rip off. They make you jump through hoops to deactivate your account and they tend to use your photos and bio for further scam. WeLovedates is geared to rip off single desperate people. Our 2022 Transparency Report has landed. Poor site, horrible customer service. Decided to give this a shot. Signed up for a year subscription (not cheap). For some reason. they had me listed as a 68 year old man. I'm 28. In other words. nobody of my age is going to see me. I got some likes from elderly folks. It took over a month to get it fixed, since you can't change it on the website. Had to call customer service a few times. and figured that they would extend my subscription for that time. No dice. They pretty much told me tough break". In the year that I spent on the site. I maybe communicated with one person. I sent around 100 messages and never received any responses. It seems like they have a ton of fake accounts. and the real accounts are probably for people that have been inactive forever. but WeLoveDates keeps them on the site to make it seem like there's more potential people than there actually are. And don't be fooled if you aren't on a subscription and only have a free account. They will spam you with messages saying things such as "somebody likes you" every few days. Once you pay and sign up. you realize that it's nothing more than a lie. Don't waste your money on this scam website. I was only on the site for several months and in that time I was contacted by three scammers. They put up fake profiles and when you contact them they're good at responding back with texts and emails claiming they have good professional jobs. They even call you from a local number but the give away is they have an accent. They will claim they're Italian or from Vienna and they're most likely Nigerian scammers. They will put off meeting you with job excuses and eventually they ask you for money. They are very good and it's a very sophisticated scam. Report them to WeLoveDates right away so their profile can be taken down. DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY. BEWARE of automatic billing. You will receive no heads up warning email from WeLoveDates that your subscription is coming due and will be automatically renewed --- most companies issue such an email about 3 days prior to the auto-renewal. Very poor customer service. While I was on the live chat, I had to ask three times for a phone number, and then, of course, you get on the phone with a person overseas who is reading from a script. Again, very poor customer service. Read 1 more review about www.welovedates.com. Rubbish dating site. You sign up and then you are bombarded with this banner which want you to upgrade constantly. Very annoying. Also without subscribing, you cannot read any messages or send any. Subscribing is simply too expensive with one month coming in at £34 quid. Ridiculous!! Then they try to entice you saying "become a search VIP for £2.99, no thanks!! In the 'encounters' tab Yu scroll through a carousel of prospectives and can like or dislike them. But what's the use if you can't interact unless you subscribe. Basically a very dead site. Don't waste your time. Waste of Time and Money. I joined this site to see how it was. Quickly it became obvious that if you wanted to be serious on there, you had to pay for their platform. Not a problem I was thinking as this might have kept the riff-raff of fake profiles out. This did not turn out to be true, in fact, quite the opposite was the case. There were so many various fake profiles on the site, that it made my head spin. The website at least admits in their user agreements that they have "fake" accounts to rake you in to make you pay for their services. Aside from their own in-house profiles, there is a plethora of scam accounts to choose from as well. Almost within minutes you'll get a message with a number from a place in Wisconsin or Idaho. There's nothing for free usage to speak of. You can't even message someone unless you have some kind of payment plan in place. Prices range from $40 up to $90 depending upon Add-ons. Yes, you read right, they made optional add-on packages so others can respond without them having to pay fees you already are paying for, more advanced messaging features, requests and so on. Even if you live in a big city, like say Toronto, you could swipe through a total of 100 profiles and suddenly no one is in your area. The vast majority of real profiles for women seems to be the 50 and over category. I would hazard a guess that most of these women are being scammed for their money if not from the site through usage fees, I would imagine the other scammers who make fake accounts can rope them in pretty easily. As for closing down your account, you can request to have it deactivated but there is a multi-tiered section they put you through to try and re-assure you that you can find a date on there. I would give them kudos for this at least, there's enough emotional manipulation and guilt tripping to put the Catholic Church to shame.
